Recipe for Chocolate Walnut Fudge Tart
1 cup flour
1/2 cup coarsely processed oat flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 cups walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
2 eggs
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
In bowl of food processor fitted with steel blade, process 1/2 cup oats
pulsing until consistency of coarse meal. Set oats aside. Add nuts to bowl
and process by pulsing until coarsely chopped. Set aside.
Place flour, oats, granulated sugar and butter in food processor bowl.
Process until crumbly. Press mixture onto bottom of 10-inch pie pan. Bake
for 15 minutes.
While crust is baking, prepare filling. In same bowl of food processor (no
need to wash out bowl) place brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter.
Pulse just until mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts by hand. Pour
over baked crust. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes, until lightly
browned and just set. Filling may still jiggle in the middle. Cool tart
in pan. When completely cooled,cut into thin slices and serve with
whipped cream which has been prepared by beating cream and 2 tablespoons
granulated sugar until soft peaks form.

What could be more romantic than chocolate for Valentine's Day, and yet,
this recipe is guaranteed to be a family favorite as well as perfect for a
candlelight dinner for two. It's so easy to prepare, and yet decadent
enough for special occasions. A little of this rich dessert goes a long
way. Don't forget the whipped cream!
